It's the most wonderful time of the year

We started the holiday season with Thanksgiving at our house. Chad's parents, sister (with her family) and my mom and dad came over for my first attempt at hosting the turkey feast. Everything went very well thanks to all the help and contributions. I was definitely stressed about it and really not looking forward to being in charge. However, it was a turkey triumph! God has blessed us so much, and we are thankful for so many things. We are looking forward to celebrating Briley's b-day, Jesus' b-day, going to B'ham to celebrate Christmas early, celebrating at home and with my family that day and our annual trip to Colorado to ski. It's going to be a busy few months, but we are making some wonderful memories that will last forever!!!

The girls had a great time playing together as usual!
We went to the Fantasy of Trees with Chad's family on Thanksgiving night.
Briley was able to talk Daddy into hanging up the lights outside while Papa was here to help. However, he wouldn't let us put up the decorations inside until T'giving was officially over.
Decorating the tree on Saturday--happy helpers!
The girls decorated a gingerbread house yesterday. We might have eaten as much candy as we put on the house, but there was plenty to go around!

Fall is fun

A couple of the pictures we had done by Lori at Simply Southern Photography. We went down to the Old City for lots of colors and textures. She does amazing work!!!
Playing at the park on a beautiful November day.
Ready for school with our black shirts and jeans.
Mommy matched too so we had to have a group shot. I was dressed first ... they copied me :-)

CMA awards 2009

I bought cheap seats for the CMA awards this past Wednesday so Chad and I went. It was sooooo much fun! We really didn't get to see anyone up close and personal, but it was so cool to be there and see all of the outstanding performances (we did end up seeing LeeAnn Rimes out afterwards, but we had to play it Nashville smooth and act like it was no big deal). I was especially excited to be there since it turned out to be such a big night for Taylor Swift. So far, she still has a good head on her shoulders, and I like to see her doing so well.

Ready to hit the town! Sequins and boots :-)
Kenny and Dave Matthews--AWESOME!
Carrie Underwood's performance--she is gorgeous!
Lady Antebellum--LOVE THEM!
Brad and Carrie during a commercial break.
Taylor after she won the BIG one--entertainer of the year!
