Singing sisters

This video makes me laugh out loud. Tinsley disappears about 30 seconds into it to go and find a microphone. She does reappear towards the end. I love their impromptu performances ... priceless!

A December to remember

We have had a lot of happenings in December so I'm pretty much going to just post pictures. We had a wonderful month celebrating Briley's birthday and Jesus's birthday! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and has a wonderful New Year!!! God bless :-)

Turkey trot

November has been a busy month! First there was Disney, then Chad's b-day, then Needtobreathe, then the Fantasy of Trees, then Thanksgiving in ATL and finally the UT/KY game! We are so blessed and so thankful for God's grace.

Celebrating Chad's b-day with chocolate chip pizza from Pizza Inn. If you've never had it, you are missing out!!!
I took the girls to the Fantasy of Trees on Wednesday so we could see Briley's friend from school dance. It was beautiful as always. ***Please excuse Briley's shirt. She was dressed and ready before I had time to veto. My mom bought this and gave it her when I wasn't around. Not my favorite.***
We spent Thanksgiving in ATL at Chad's brother's house. It was GREAT! Last year we started a tradition of going for a run on Thanksgiving day ... aka the Turkey Trot! Everyone participated this year so it was more of a fun run :-)
Piled up watching a movie. The little ones running across the beds ...
Just playing some cards ... no money was exchanged-ha ha!
Since my sister was out of town over Thanksgiving, we used their UT tickets and went to the game on Saturday. It was COLD, but we had a great time! The seats were awesome, and the kids enjoyed the experience.
There's just something about the power T!!!
Sitting in Daddy's lap eating their snacks. We stayed until there were about 5 minutes left in the game.
First family picture in front of the tree. Briley was not happy about it.
I pray that everyone had as magical a November as we did. Bring on December!!!

Disney delight

We went to Disney over Briley's fall break during the first week of November. It was a great time to be there as far as the crowds and the weather. We had a WONDERFUL time! Briley was tall enough to ride all the big rides so she had a blast (loved the Rock-n-Roller coaster and Expedition Everest---that's my girl!!!). Tinsley was in awe seeing all of the characters. Her favorites were Mickey, Minnie and Piglet. It was a magical family vacation, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to go.

Two girls ready for the road trip. We drove, and they did great!!!
We just entered the Walt Disney World resort area ... do you think they are excited???
Meeting Mickey and Minnie!!!
We had dinner at the castle with Cinderella and the princesses that night.
Picture with Cinderella before dinner.
Cool night picture.
Riding Toy Story at Hollywood Studios.
She was the first one to get ready every morning --- so excited.
Breakfast with Donald and friends at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.
Safari at Animal Kingdom. Not sure why Tinsley has this face ... she was as happy as she could be!
Dinner at O'hana in the Polynesian Resort. Yummy and lots of fun!
Meeting Piglet at the Crystal Palace breakfast---big smiles!
Tinsley loving Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster.
Playground break.
Beautiful castle picture. Waiting to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom on our last night.
Saying goodbye to Mickey!

We are so thankful for God's blessings in our life!

Last of the October outings

Briley and I took Mom to see Carrie Underwood in Atlanta for her birthday. It was great! Mom said it was one of the best birthdays ever :-) We also go to have dinner with my brother-in-law and his family before the concert and lunch the next day with my former youth minister, his wife and two of their seven kids (yes, I said 7!!!). It was a wonderful day and a half.
The beautiful and talented Carrie Underwood. Knowing she is a Christian is icing on the cake!
Harvest Day at Briley's school. I volunteered to help. I don't know how the Kindergarten teachers do it day after day ...
We barely squeezed in our pumpkin patch visit before Halloween was over, but we made it (on Saturday the 30th). It was a new place that we hadn't been before. They were very well organized and had lots to do including the corn maze, pumpkin painting, live animals to see, bounce area, pony rides and a hayride!!! Check it out at lifedownonthefarm.com.
Train ride around the corn maze.
And last but not least, the actual Halloween night gang. I was pretty much over it by this point, but the kids had a blast. Tinsley thought she was one of the big girls and went right up to the door with her bag. It was fun to watch!!!
October sure was fun and full of activities ... can't wait to see what November has in store!
