Happy anniversary to my sweetheart - Vegas style!

To celebrate our 10th anniversary, Chad and I decided to head to Las Vegas for the Academy of Country Music Awards. It was a wonderful time together, and I am so thankful that God gave me a loving, Christian husband. I want to send a BIG thanks to his parents for coming in to take care of the girls. They LOVED having Nana and Papa and Scout (the dog) there.

Our hotel - Aria! Loved it. The pool stayed sunny, and it was a short walk from the entrance to the elevators :-). 

We went to the free concert on Saturday night for the military at the ACM Experience at Mandalay Bay - good show!

Mom and Dad ended up being in the Vegas area at the same time as we were so they came and picked us up for a trip to Hoover Dam. Dad thought that he read the best time to be there was between 10:30 and 3, but it really said before 10:30 and after 3. Needless to say, it was CROWDED!!! It was great to go back there after many, many years. And it was wonderful to see Mom and Dad! 

Headed out on Monday night for our anniversary dinner at Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian - good stuff, but I guess I am getting a little more practical in my old age where expensive isn't always truly worth it. It was, however, worth it to celebrate US!!! Happy Anniversary, Chad. I LOVE YOU!!!

There's just something about a friend who has known you since you were 8 years old!!! I am so thankful that God gave me a true best friend forever :-).

Turning four!

We celebrated Tinsley's 4th birthday by letting her have a friend over to spend the night. It was a fabulous day, and T was so excited to share it with her best bud :-). Happy birthday to my sweet baby girl - you are growing up too fast!!!

Spring Break 2012 ... for the Mommies!

My dear friend, Megan, emailed me to see if I wanted to join her in Ft. Lauderdale for her spring break (she is taking classes with plans to attend nursing school). Of course, I'm not one to refuse a chance to head to the beach, especially when it includes a free hotel and no kids :-). We had a wonderful time catching up, relaxing and eating! It was a fabulous break, and I'm thankful for the chance to go.

In fact, we were the very first people to go in (it pays to have connections-ha) and really enjoyed people watching and trying not to look like the old, shocked grandmas that we were!

Look at this sweet face. I get the pleasure of waking up to it pretty much every morning ... and I mean right in my face! She has been coming to our bed in the middle of the night for awhile now. I was always too lazy to take her back so I just learned to sleep with her touching me ... and now I wouldn't trade it for anything. She is my snuggle bug, and I love it! Sleep tight sweet angel - Mommy loves you!
